Epson to highlight cost-effective on demand colour label printers and intelligent receipt printers at Retail Business Technology Expo
2 – 3 May 2018, Olympia, London, Stand F130
Epson will show its latest products for the retail industry this week at RBTE in London. The line-up includes a range of on-demand cost-effective colour label printers and intelligent receipt printers. Demonstrations on the stand will show solutions including live café ordering, shelf edge labelling, mobile POS and personalised printing.
An entry level and low cost per label printer, the ColorWorks C3500 (pictured) will be on show. Dayle Guy, product manager at Epson UK, says: “Epson’s ColorWorks printers, the C3500 and its big brother the C7500, have been designed to print on to self-adhesive substrates, including specialist metallic and textured papers and can also handle non-adhesive retail applications such as tags for example. Users can add QR codes or barcodes and there is even the opportunity to use low power wireless connectivity to produce smart colour labels. This is an easy to use mobile system which is ideal for POS applications.”
Last year northern supermarket chain Booths rolled out Epson Colorworks C3500 label printers at almost all of its 28 stores. It used the opportunity to redesign its labels to ensure they were consistent with the fonts and colours used throughout its corporate branding.
Also on show are two receipt printers. The TM T-88V, an energy efficient and the first ENERGY STAR® qualified receipt printer, and the TM-T88VI, a future-proof receipt printer with mobile connectivity. This makes it easy to add web and mobile PC-based POS services to a traditional PC-based POS system.
“Quality is always a prerequisite for Epson products,” says Dayle. “The company invests about Euro1.4m every day in research and development to help deliver our vision to connect people with efficient, compact, energy saving and precision technologies. We are pleased to be able to bring some of the systems that offer effective and low-cost solutions to retailers, an important market for Epson.”
