Epson expands EcoTank range with compact new printers designed for hassle-free, ultra-low-cost home printing

Market-leading range for refillable ink tanks delivers smaller footprints and higher ink yields to make life easier for end-users and companies.

Epson, a global leader in printing technology, announces the latest additions to its market-leading EcoTank range, designed for families and home office users looking for reliable, ultra-low-cost everyday printing without the hassle of cartridges. This new range includes printers at least 25% smaller than competitor models[1], up to three years of ink included in the box[2] and savings of up to 95% on printing costs[3].

The new models added to the range are:

  • EcoTank ET-1910: designed for busy families who need hassle-free printing, the convenience of no cartridges and the ability to print from their mobiles.
  • EcoTank ET-2910 series: for reliable, ultra-low-cost printing, scanning and copying.
  • EcoTank ET-2920 series: with the added convenience of a colour 3.7cm screen.
  • EcoTank ET-4900 series: with an Automatic Document Feeder and touchscreen, tailored for home office and small office users requiring fast, reliable printing solutions.

Ideal for busy households and SOHO users printing everything from homework and travel documents to home admin and business paperwork, the new compact EcoTank printers combine high-quality printing with ultra-low running costs, modern connectivity features and a more compact than ever space-saving design that is at least 25% smaller than competitor models1.

As part of Epson’s cartridge-free EcoTank range, the new models feature refillable high-capacity ink tanks and include up to three years’ worth of ink in the box2, helping users to save up to 95% on printing costs compared to traditional cartridge printers3.

Compact yet packed with features, the new printers are designed to make everyday printing simpler and stress-free. With integrated Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct connectivity, users can easily print from laptops, smartphones and tablets, while enhanced support for mesh Wi-Fi networks helps to deliver a stable and reliable wireless printing experience.

The printers also feature Epson’s Smart Panel app, enabling users to print, copy and scan directly from their smart devices, as well as monitor ink levels, troubleshoot issues and manage printer settings remotely[4]. All EcoTanks now features compatibility with Apple AirPrint™ that lets you wirelessly print photos, emails, web pages and documents from your iPad, iPhone and iPod touch without installing any drivers[5].

“One of the biggest frustrations consumers have with home printing is the ongoing cost and inconvenience of replacing cartridges,” said Lee Withers, Epson Europe. “These new EcoTank printers are designed to remove that pain point completely, offering families and home office users a reliable, easy-to-use printer with an ultra-low cost-per-page.

“With their compact footprint, modern connectivity and high page yields, these printers are ideal for anyone looking for hassle-free everyday printing that delivers both convenience and long-term value.”

Designed for consistent high-quality output, one set of replacement ink bottles can print up to 4,700 black and white pages and 7,500 colour pages[6], significantly reducing the need for refills and helping to minimise waste through Epson’s cartridge-free system.

Despite their compact design, the new printers include a range of productivity-enhancing features, including a 100-sheet rear paper tray, borderless photo printing up to 10×15 cm and print speeds of up to 11 pages per minute[7].

Built with Epson’s Heat-Free printing technology, EcoTank printers are engineered for durability and energy efficiency, with the printhead designed to last the lifetime of the printer[8]. The range also benefits from a 50,000-page durability specification and low power consumption.

Key features of the new EcoTank models include:

  • Save up to 95% on printing costs compared to traditional cartridge printers.

[1] Only applicable to ET-1910, ET-2910, ET-2920 series. Comparison based on minimum volume (W×D×H) of the 20 best selling equivalent competitor A4 colour ink tank printers in Europe with mono print speeds of 10–12 ppm (ISO 24734), excluding models with Automatic Document Feeders (IDC Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker, Q1 2025–Q4 2025 shipments, published Q1 2026). Comparison uses manufacturers’ official specifications.

[2] Ink is included in the box at the time of purchase. Based on print volume of 100 A4 pages per month and the lowest yield produced from the included set of inks. Excludes photo and business models.

[3] Based on Epson calculations, the average cost per page saving and the average number of inkjet cartridges required to print the same number of pages as the average yield of Epson EcoTank ‘101’, ‘102’, ‘103’, ‘104’ ink bottles. Comparison between the average yield (A4 prints of ISO/IEC 24712 test pattern) of EcoTank ‘101’, ‘102’, ‘103’ and ‘104’ ink bottle series and the genuine consumables (IDC, Hardcopy Peripherals Consumables Tracker, 2024 Shipments, published Q1 2025) used within the 40 best-selling consumer A4 Color Inkjet devices in Europe (IDC, Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker, 2024 Shipments, published Q1 2025).  Cost per page calculated by dividing the relevant bottle/cartridge average selling price as tracked by IDC by the yield.

[5] AirPrint™ is an Apple Inc. technology that lets you create high-quality printed documents from your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Vision Pro without downloading or installing drivers. AirPrint features include easy detection, automatic media selection, and business-quality finishing options.

[6] Quoted yields are extrapolated based on Epson original methodology from the print simulation of Test Patterns provided in ISO/IEC 24712 or 29103. Quoted yields are NOT based on ISO/IEC 24711 or 29102. Quoted yields may vary depending on the images that you are printing, the paper type that you are using, the frequency of your prints and environmental conditions such as temperature. During the initial printer setup, a certain amount of ink is used to fill the print head’s nozzles, therefore the yield of the initial bundled set will be lower.

[7] Determined in accordance with ISO/IEC 24734 showing the average of ESAT from the Office Category Test for default simplex.  For more information visit the Epson website

[8] This means that due to the unique Micro Piezo technology, Epson printhead has been designed to be a permanent fixture of the printer and does not require regular replacement to maintain performance and efficiency. This however does not constitute a statement of additional warranty; the standard Epson warranty terms apply
