Epson launches its first label printers for the home

Lightweight, portable label printers put label design in the palm of your hand

Epson has announced its first label printers specifically for crafters and the home. The LabelWorks LW-C610 and LW-C410 are lightweight, portable and easy to use from a mobile making them ideal for de-cluttering, organising and crafting throughout the entire home & office.

Epson already has a range of LabelWorks printers for industrial and warehouse users and these new printers will allow the company to target the home and crafting sector. With no keyboard, and wireless operation they allow the user to move between rooms to print up to 360dpi resolution with the LW-C610 or 180dpi with the LW-C140 using thermal print technology.

With a sleek, modern design, the compact printers which are the size of a small book and weigh just 410g (LW-C410), are connected via Bluetooth¹ and operated using Epson’s new Label Editor mobile app². Compatible with iphone or Android devices, Label Editor gives total control of label creation and makes high quality personalised printing quick and easy. The app puts advanced labelling functionality in the palm of your hand including the flexibility to choose from a wide range of fonts, symbols, frames and even barcodes or QR codes. It also includes the ability to print pictures including those drawn by hand for an even greater personalised touch as well as printing multiple fonts on one label and serialised numbers in order from 1 to 99.  Font size ranges from 5pt – 20pt with the option of bold, italic or underline, and it can print either horizontally or vertically.

Fifty different tapes and ribbons are available in widths of up to 24mm for the LabelWorks LW-C610 and thirty-six up to 18mm for the LW-C410. These include satin ribbons as well as metallic, matte pastel and coloured tapes to support a range of different uses from hobbies and crafting, organising your home or office, back to school labelling, gift wrapping and even DIY tasks. The two Labelworks printers each include a built-in auto-cutter significantly reducing the margin waste, making the ribbons and tapes last longer and offering the best value for money.
