Epson Launches the SC-V4000 A1+ Flatbed Printer for UV Printing

Delivering productivity, image quality and useability in growing A1/A2 UV market

March 9, 2026 – Epson, a global leader in imaging technology, announces the launch of the SC-V4000 A1+ Flatbed Printer for UV printing. Adding to Epson’s successful line-up, including the SC-V1000 and SC-V7000 UV flatbed models, the new 10-colour SC-V4000 printer meets the demand for increased productivity, image quality and useability in the growing A1/A2 UV flatbed segment.

The SC-V4000 is perfectly designed for businesses operating in limited spaces, offering significant productivity gains while optimising space efficiency. It achieves enhanced image quality with sharp text reproduction, making it an ideal choice for printing high-quality personalised items such as fine art, photography and signage.

“The SC-V4000 printer raises the bar in the UV flatbed market,” said Chris Davies from Epson Europe. “With superior colour reproduction, an expanded colour gamut, and improved gradation, we are providing our customers with the means to produce remarkable results for high-quality personalised print items on a diverse range of substrates.”

Key features of the Epson SC-V4000 include:

  • High colour reproduction: Using Ultrachrome UV inks, the V4000 offers a 10-colour ink set (CMYK, Lc, Lm, Gy, R, W, Vr) delivering an expanded colour gamut, improved gradation, and reduced graininess. The printer can reproduce high-definition text, clearly printing details as small as 2pt, ideal for copyright and intricate designs.
  • Maximising production in limited spaces: With an A1+ table size, the SC-V4000 can print two A2 (18”×24”) items simultaneously. By using three PrecisionCore Printheads, with 400 nozzles per row, the new printer supports fast printing at 300 dpi, allowing for efficient three-layer printing (White, Colour, Varnish) concurrently.
  • Improved usability: The SC-V4000 is designed for simplified front end operation and maintenance, enabling users to manage daily tasks such as gantry movement, nozzle checks, ink replenishments, and waste ink tank replacements from the front. The automatic media height sensor and jam detection system enhance operational efficiency by preventing printhead crashes and reducing downtime.
  • Versatile applications: The SC-V4000 can print on objects up to 200mm thick and by using the UV DTFilm can handle curved and challenging substrates.

With the SC-V4000, Epson continues to innovate in the UV flatbed market, providing a complete range of high-quality, superbly engineered flatbed printer models that provide businesses with all the tools to meet their customers’ exacting standards.

The new SC-V4000 will be available from Summer 2026.
