ABSL Latvia Chairperson to lead Epson’s new €6 million centre in Riga

Aļesja Kirčenko to head hub creating 150 new business services jobs in Latvia

Latvia – 3rd March 2026 – Epson has appointed Aļesja Kirčenko as Director of its new €6 million European Business Services (EBS) centre in Riga, which will create 150 new business services roles to support Epson teams across Europe. This investment is one of the flagship projects of 2025, Latvia’s record year for foreign direct investment.

Aļesja joins Epson from SEB Global Services, where she spent more than eight years as Deputy Head of the Riga operation, helping grow it into one of Latvia’s largest business services centres with over 1,200 employees. As ABSL Latvia Chairperson since 2021, she has worked with investors, Riga City and state institutions to attract new projects to Latvia and strengthen the country’s position as a location for high value business services.

“In my roles at SEB and ABSL Latvia, I’ve spent years working within GBS sector to bring more high value-added jobs to Latvia,” said Aļesja. “Epson choosing Riga and creating 150 roles is exactly the kind of opportunity we’ve been working for so that talented people can build their careers in Latvia. For me, taking this position is about impact. I want to build something new where we can put those ideas into practice and create a workplace that offers broad opportunities and genuinely invests in people and their growth.”

Epson selected Riga after benchmarking 28 cities in 18 countries, citing multilingual talent, competitive costs, quality infrastructure and strong support from national and city authorities as key factors in the decision. The hub at Novira Plaza, in central Riga, is scheduled to open in June 2026 and will operate a hybrid working model, centralising a number of functions such as finance, accounting, logistics and supply chain, to support Epson’s European operations.

“This centre is critical to Epson’s long-term success in Europe,” said Rob Clark, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Epson Europe. “We are making a significant commitment in Riga and need a leader who can turn that investment into lasting value for the business. Aļesja has built large international teams in Riga and helped shape the business services ecosystem we are now investing in. That combination of strong delivery, deep local insight and commitment to developing people makes her the right person to build this centre for the long term.”

Epson is hiring now for 150 roles in central Riga, open to candidates with strong English and an interest in building a career in international business services, including recent graduates and people with no prior shared services experience. The centre offers competitive salaries, health insurance and other benefits, as well as opportunities to move into specialist and leadership roles within a global organisation. Vacancies are listed at http://www.epson.lv/lv_LV/ebs with Grafton Recruitment supporting the hiring process.
