Has both an unbelievably short as well as long range

Meerbusch, 4 January 2017 –With its EB-14x0UI series, Epson presents its new, interactive, ultra-short-throw projectors that are particularly suitable for use in conference rooms and offices. Thanks to the devices’ network functions, it makes no difference whether participants are in the same room or on opposite sides of the earth. The Wi-Fi interface and screen mirroring function of the top model in the series, the EB-1460UI, make it possible to use the projector with mobile devices. All three new projectors in the series use Epson 3LCD technology and have full WUXFA-resolution (1,920 x 1,200 pixels) and light output of up to 4,400 lumens with a contrast ratio of up to 1:16,000. The bulbs in the new Epson EB-1400 series have a durability of up to 10,000 hours in eco mode. Projectors in the new EB-14x0 series are available from March 2017 from qualified specialist retailers.

The built-in split-screen function enables users to split the projection in two halves and thus see the presentation and conference participants simultaneously. The built-in 16 Watt loudspeaker ensures high-quality sound output and dispenses with the need for further audio equipment. Includes high data-security features such as password protection for screen data, encrypted password transmission as well as a backup of any wireless data transmission. It is also possible to distribute the content of a conference via traditional channels such as email directly from the projectors.

Jörn von Ahlen, Marketing Director, Epson Germany GmbH, says: “Our ultra-short-throw projectors in the EB-1400 series offer our corporate customers high-performance equipment for efficient collaboration. For meetings at your local offices or for a teleconference: the new Epson EB-1400 series projectors have all the functions that corporate customers need from IT. Modern 3LCD-Technology means these devices project sharp images in natural, eye-friendly colours on scalable screen sizes up to 100 inches – something traditional displays cannot do at a sensible price.”
