Epson updates its cartridge-free models with new slimmer design

Epson today launched two new EcoTank printers, the ET-2600 and ET-2650, featuring a slimmed down design and smaller footprint. Since launching in 2010, Epson’s EcoTank range has sold more than 15 million units1 worldwide. The launch of the ET-2600 and ET-2650 makes low cost and hassle-free printing more convenient, perfect for the home or small business.

Like the other EcoTank printers in the range, the ET-2600 and ET-2650 feature an innovative ultra-high-capacity ink tank system, filled by high-volume ink bottles. It means that printer panic – running out of ink at inopportune moments – has been consigned to the history books.

The entry-level ET-2600 and ET-2650 come with enough ink to print up to an impressive 4,500 pages in black and 7,500 in colour2. With an extremely low cost-per-page and much more printing between refills, the models present a cost-effective and efficient solution that could reduce a user’s printing costs by 74% on average3.

These fuss-free printers are easy to use. Users can set them up in just three steps - fill the tanks, set up and print, and then link up their mobiles with Epson’s range of free apps4. When the original inks eventually run out, it’s straightforward to purchase additional low-cost refill bottles to replenish the tanks. The refill bottles also provide high yields, so the user can continue to print thousands of pages without interruption.

EcoTank printers truly provide a long-term and dependable printing solution. Clear, sharp and precise prints are delivered thanks to Epson's durable and reliable Micro Piezo technology and genuine Epson ink. Giving additional peace of mind, its purpose-built and integrated design is backed by an extended three-year warranty (upon registration5) or 30,000 pages.

Neil Wilson, business manager, Epson UK, says: “The world of printing is changing with the EcoTank printer. It allows users to print thousands of pages without the worry of running low on ink. The possibilities for printing are now endless. The EcoTank printer has already proved extremely popular with cumulative global sales of 15 million units1 thanks to its ultra-low cost and hassle-free design, and we think this new slimmer addition will win over even more customers.”

The ET-2600 and ET-2650 are available from February 2017 and are both priced at £229.99.
