New photo and fine-art printer raises standard for usability, quality and productivity.
Epson’s latest 17-inch printer is designed to meet the high production and quality demands of professional photographers and fine-art users
A new 17-inch photo and fine-art production printer, designed to meet the needs of professional photographers looking to increase productivity without compromising on quality, has been announced by Epson. Combining the advanced technology of the Epson SC-P700/P900 with the recognised flexibility and production capability of the Epson SC-P5000, the introduction of the SC-P5300 will further consolidate the company’s leading position in the 17-inch professional photo and fine-art printing market.
Designed to meet the requirements of professional photographers, fine-art users, design agencies and photo retail stores, the SC-P5300 offers exceptional image quality thanks to the consistency and accuracy of Epson’s Micro Piezo printhead technology, coupled with an optimised colour gamut and UltraChrome Pro10 ink with violet as standard. The printer also offers black enhanced overcoat (BEO) and a carbon black mode for delivering the very highest black density, as well as improved contrast, better tonality and reduced bronzing in dark areas on glossy media.
The SC-P5300 also delivers enhanced usability and functionality through a range of advanced features. The printer offers four ways of loading different media, including a production paper cassette, an integrated roll unit, automatic cutting system and a dedicated MK/PK channel for use with different media surfaces to save time and ink. The SC-P5300 is fully Wi-Fi enabled, allowing unrestricted printer installation anywhere, and Wi-Fi direct print, while configuration and operation are managed via an intuitive 4.3-inch colour LCD touchscreen which was successfully introduced with the SC-P7/9500. The Epson Cloud Solution PORT(ECSP), along with all of Epson’s latest software, is also supported to improve printer fleet management, productivity and control.
“The productivity demands of today’s professional fine-art environment are higher than ever while users naturally still want the very highest levels of image quality,” said Boris Creischer, Product Manager C&I, Epson Europe, “. “This latest offering from Epson satisfies both of these requirements, together with outstanding ease-of-use and exceptional reliability.”
