Epson announces its most advanced Full HD 3D projectors

31 August2012 – Epson announces the EH-TW9100W, EH-TW9100 and EH-TW8100 – three top-of-the range, Full HD 3D projectors for film enthusiasts. Offering the ultimate home cinema experience, the range is packed with the latest technology, including:

  • State-of-the-art wireless Full HD connectivity[1] (EH-TW9100W only)
  • New wireless HD transmitter with five HDMI inputs1, allowing non-wireless devices to be connected
  • Radio Frequency (RF)[2] 3D technology, providing a strong signal for 3D glasses
  • Ultra-high 320,000:1 contrast ratio
  • Super-resolution and frame interpolation for a sharper, clearer viewing experience
  • 2.1 zoom lens and wide lens shift for installation flexibility
  • 2D to 3D conversion
  • 3LCD technology with equally bright White and Colour Light output for vivid, lifelike images

The EH-TW9100W projects Full HD content wirelessly1 - even from non-wireless devices, which can be connected using the included wireless HD transmitter. This reduces the number of cables needed, making installation easier and tidier.

2D HD content can be converted to 3D at the touch of a button, while automatic colour optimisation, frame interpolation and super-resolution technology further enhance the viewing experience. Colours are lifelike, blacks are deep and cinematic, and every detail is accurately reproduced, thanks to a high contrast ratio of 320,000:1 and Epson’s 3LCD technology.

Kally Kanda, product manager, Epson UK, says: “This is Epson’s high-end range of home cinema projectors, perfect for anyone with a dedicated movie room. Not only do they deliver high-quality cinematic images, they’re also really easy to install because of theirwide lens shift, and centred lens with a powerful zoom. This gives users the flexibility to set the projector up wherever they want, without worrying about blurring or distortion.”

The EH-TW9100W and EH-TW9100 both come with two pairs of USB-rechargeable, Radio Frequency, lightweight, active shutter 3D glasses2, which can be used up to 10 metres from the projector.

The EH-TW9100W, EH-TW9100 and EH-TW8100 are available from November 2012.
