Epson revolutionises POS printing

11 September 2012 – Epson announces the TM-T88V-DT – a unique integrated terminal hub and thermal receipt printer. The TM-T88V-DT is designed specifically for web-based environments, making it ideal for retailers using cloud services.

Helping to streamline operations, the TM-T88V-DT can control peripherals including scanners, customer displays and cash drawers, through the web, with no need for additional drivers.

Ray Cranston, business development manager at Epson UK says, “Because the TM-T88V-DT is an integrated peripherals controller with processing capability, it needs no PC or POS terminal. This reduces the amount of hardware needed, and therefore energy bills, maintenance and servicing – adding up to a significant cost saving for retailers.”

POS applications and databases can be backed up using the TM-T88V-DT’s local storage, meaning that if there is a problem with the network, sales won’t stop.

With a stylish, compact design that saves on valuable counter space, the TM-T88V-DT is available in white or black to match the latest mobile devices.

The TM-T88V-DT will be available from November 2012
