Epson videoprojectors enlightened Braşov during Amural Festival

For 4 nights, between the 31st of August and the 4th of September, the fortress of Brasov was full of life through AMURAL Visual Festival, a contemporary visual art festival organized by Amural Association and supported by Epson.

Epson's cooperation with this festival started three years ago, being one of the few urban visual art projects in Romania. Meanwhile, its level of complexity and spectacularity has raised, and more and more art enthusiasts attended the festival. Thus, from 7 large scale projections for the first edition, this year the festival gathered 12 large scale projections out of a total of 22, including cinematographic. As far as the audience is concerned, from 10.000 visitors in the first year, the festival has reached 30,000 participants.

While the content is provided by artists from abroad and Romania, the organizers chose Epson to provide the equipment on the grounds that an event as ample as AMURAL Visual Festival implied very high technical requirements. This year, Epson has provided 15 projectors for video-mapping and cinematographic productions.

"Previously, we had similar projections made with DLP video projectors. However, the contrast, brightness and colors are significantly better for 3LCD technology models. In art projections, the content and the display are essential to reach the mind and the heart of the viewer. This argument has led us to choose Epson and to remain partners in building this wonderful art story, "said Razvan Pascu, AMURAL creative director.

"At the same time, given that we are talking about large scale projections, we needed solutions with very high resolutions, reliable and easy to install and use at the same time," stated Răzvan Pascu, adding that all 22 projections during the 4 days festival were made with a technical team of only 5 people.

This year, the Amural Festival brought together 80 artists from Romania and abroad. They exhibited in 20 places photography, illustration, design, painting, for the first time as well as video content. For the video show, there were used 15 projectors from the EB-G6000 and EB-G7000 series, models in EB-2000 (EB-2255), EB-U (EB-U05, EB-U32), EB-S32/ X32/W32 business series and EH-TW9300W and EH-TW7300W home-cinema series, as well as the EH-LS10500 laser projector, and other two Epson EB-L1300U laser videoprojectors belonging to Aural Eye studio.

The EB-G6000 video projectors were used for projections in wide spaces. The products are installable, with high brightness, between 5200 and 7000 lumens and resolutions from XGA to WUXGA. The EB-G7000 range is also comprised of installable products for projections in wide spaces, with 4K enhancement, up to 8,000 lumens brightness and 360 ° installation options, split screen or projection in corners and on curved surfaces. The motorized lens, including ultra-short throw lens designed for short distance image projection, can be replaced for very good results in almost any type of space.

The EB-2000, EB-U, EB-S, EB-X and EB-W series are compact, versatile, easy-to-install business models with resolutions from SVGA to WUXGA, and brightness from 3200 to 4000 lumens.

EH-TW9300W and EH-TW7300W are home cinema equipment with 4K resolution, excellent contrast ratio, great brightness and lamp life long enough to provide 7 years of entertainment. The home cinema range also includes the EH-LS10500 laser source projector that offers 30,000 hours in eco mode.

The video-mapping show was completed by two LB-1300U Epson laser projectors, with WUXGA resolution and 8000 lumens brightness, suitable for outdoor or indoor use, and in any scenario where a high-quality projection is required.

All Epson video projector models incorporate the patented Epson 3LCD technology that ensures the same high level of brightness on white and color rendering more natural colors.

"The type of partnership we have with Amural Association proves both the versatility and the reliability of our solutions. We currently have over 100 videoprojecors tailored to the needs of different customers, from visual artists, event organizers, advertisers, business people, to teachers, and last but not least, customers who use home projectors. We have recently expanded the ranges with new business and home models, and in December we will launch in Romania the first ultra-short throw Epson laser projector with 3LCD technology capable of delivering 3 m diagonal projections from 43 centimeters from the wall, "said Simona Decuseara, National Sales Manager of Epson Romania.

And because the festival is dedicated to all contemporary visual arts, Epson has supported the photography, graphic design and illustration exhibitions held in the White Tower, the Black Tower and the Multicultural Center of Transylvania University. Epson has provided for the artists the Epson SureColor SC-P9000 printer, 44-inch wide, and Epson Enhanced Matte. Epson SureColor SC-P9000 is a professional printer capable of rendering 98% of the Pantone certified colors and comes with a ten-color ink set and an Epson TFP PrecisionCore print head to deliver professional, accurate, and long-lasting results.

A3 + and A4 photographies were printed with Epson L1800, on Ultra Glossy and Enhanced Matte paper.
