Epson launches big-screen TV alternative at IFA

Epson’s EH-LS500B and EH-LS500W projectors add the ability to watch 4K 1content and a new stylish design to its portfolio of ultra-short-throw laser projectors. On view at IFA 2019, visitors will be able to observe the discreet modern design, available in black and white.

The EH-LS500B and EH-LS500W are easy to set up, sit neatly next to the display area and are competitively priced for laser. Unlike standard-throw models, they can achieve a large display of up to 130 inches when placed close to the wall. Each model has sleek, clean lines allowing them to blend into living and entertaining spaces.

With these 4K PRO-UHD 1ultra-short-throw laser projectors, it’s easy to stream shows, movies and more by inserting and storing a device (such as Amazon Fire TV and Roku streaming stick) in the hidden front bay. Alternatively, users can watch content from DVD players, set top boxes, games consoles and more by using one of the projector’s three HDMI ports. It also comes with two built-in 10w speakers and a HDMI ARC connection to integrate with an AV set up.

Epson’s projectors are up to three times brighter than other 1-chip DLP projectors 2and the EH-LS500 range also includes frame interpolation as well as Detail Enhancement technology. With a high brightness of 4,000 lumens, these long-lasting laser projectors are great for casual viewing, day or night, and for big events such as sports or films. They also deliver defined shadow detail and deep blacks with a 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio. The adjustable HDR settings provide further versatility.

The EH-LS500W/B is available from November 2019 priced at R36,999 and will be on show at IFA 2019, Berlin, 6-11 thSeptember, stand number 103, hall 21. The display will also include other new additions such as EF-100W/B, EH-TW7000 and EH-TW7100.
