ThoroughTec Simulation makes Epson projectors its first choice

19.10.2011 - Specialist simulator manufacturer ThoroughTec Simulation has identified Epson EB-450 ultra short-throw projectors as its standard for its mining simulators.

The industries for which we build simulators need their simulator encounter to be as real as possible, to make training sessions properly effective,” says ThoroughTec’s software manager, Richard Bellengere.

Their employees’ lives depend on the success of the simulation experience, and the Epson EB-450 projectors offer clear images that are incredibly close to reality throughout the training exercise.”

The company’s simulators are built into repurposed shipping containers and space is at a premium. “The Epson EB-450 projectors are compact and robust, and they’re easy to mount on the roof of the container,” Richard says.

Cost is also a consideration in these high-end products, and the Epson EB-450 projectors offer low cost of ownership, both in purchase and in the full product lifecycle.

“Using projectors onto the walls of the containers instead of using LCD or plasma panels fixed onto them keeps our build costs down. A further benefit is the improved robustness of the simulator container,” Bellengere adds.

The lamp life of the projectors’ light bulb is estimated to be as long as 3500 hours in ECO mode, making it one of the most long lasting in this category. In addition, we supports these lamps with a full 12-month, or 1000 hour lamp warranty, whichever comes first, to give our customers complete peace of mind “ says Albert Fayard, Corporate sales manager, Epson SA.

As the leading manufacturer of 3LCD projectors worldwide Epson's technological innovations are at the heart of every Epson projector, with constant development of hardware and software to give you the tools to enhance the way you present,” he says.

The Epson EB-450 is available through accredited Epson resellers and retails for a recommended retail price of R19, 265.
