Epson takes part in the first FESPA Africa

Epson, a global leader in large format and commercial printing equipment, will participate in the first FESPA Africa exhibition, to be held at Gallagher Estate from 2 to 4 July 2014. FESPA Africa is the local edition of the globally recognised digital print technology exhibition, and will incorporate the Sign Africa and Visual Communications Africa exhibitions, giving players in the local printing and imaging sectors the opportunity to engage with hardware and software suppliers.

“FESPA is the largest gathering of printing and imaging industry suppliers and experts under one roof, and Epson is excited to be participating in this event,” said Kelvin Reynolds, general manager of Epson South Africa. “We are looking forward to showing our wide range of products to visitors, including several new printers and consumables that are in keeping with our sterling reputation as a global leader in imaging.”

Products making their South African debut at FESPA Africa include the Epson SureLab D-700, the new Epson SureColor SC-T series range, Epson dye sublimation (DS) Transfer Paper and the Epson L1800 A3 ITS (Ink Tank System) printer.

The Epson SureLab D-700 is Epson’s first six-colour compact photo production printer, offering a wide range of media and format options. Combining vibrant colour output with reliability and cost-efficiency, it is ideally suited to small to medium production runs in photo production businesses, independent photo shops, event photographers, minilabs and copy shops as well as businesses that need to print high-quality panoramic images, greeting cards or mixed print jobs on demand.

Epson’s new range of high-speed, four-colour large-format SureColor SC-T-series printers are designed for a variety of graphics, CAD and GIS applications within design, commercial print, copy shop, architecture, building, engineering, retail and education environments. The new roll-fed SureColor SC-T series features nine models, offering a choice of widths, productivity and scanning capability.

Epson dye sublimation (DS) Transfer Paper is the first dye sublimation material that the company has introduced in South Africa. Optimised for use with the Epson range of SureColor SC-F inkjet printers and UltraChrome DS inks, DS Transfer Production Paper is unique to Epson and has been specifically developed for the volume production of textiles for fashion and soft signage applications.

In addition to the new products being introduced at FESPA Africa, visitors will also get the opportunity to explore the wide range of established Epson products that will be on display. Visitors to the event will find the Epson team at Stand H2 C1 in Hall 2.

Entrance is free, and the exhibition is open on 2 and 3 July 2014 from 10h00 – 18h00, and from 10h00 to 17h00 on 4 July 2014. Visitors should pre-register on www.fespaafrica.com//home/register-now
