Epson South Africa appoints Kemtek Imaging Systems as distributor for its Large Format Printer range

Epson, manufacturers of a wide range of innovative printing, scanning and projection technology, has strengthened its South African distribution base by appointing Kemtek Imaging Systems as a specialist distributor for its large format printer (LFP) range.

Kemtek is a leading supplier to the sub-Saharan printing, barcoding and labelling industries, and operates from its head office in Johannesburg with full service branches in Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town. Export sales to southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands are managed through Kemtek’s Johannesburg and Pretoria branches, as well as distributors and subsidiaries in various African countries.

Managed by Divisional Head, Mark Broude, Kemtek’s Distribution division, which will be supplying the Epson range, was recently awarded Best Specialist Distributor at the Epson Partner Awards in April.

“Epson has a long-standing relationship with Kemtek, with the company having been a national distributor of our Point-of-Sale printer range since 2005. After years of a great working relationship and building a wide distribution base, it seemed a natural progression to add the LFP range to its distribution channel,” says Vernon Mellors, business account manager at Epson South Africa.

Kemtek’s Mark Broude adds, “We offer our valued customers a full support solution, including nationwide technical support, and we’re pleased that we can now extend this service to Epson. With the brand more integrated into our company, Epson can further benefit from other Kemtek offerings such as dedicated salespeople, demonstration showrooms and road shows.”

One of Kemtek’s key offerings will be the Epson SureColor SC-P-Series range of large format printers. These printers include PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads and are perfect for photo labs, high-street photo and copy shops and corporates looking for an in-house solution.

In addition, Kemtek will also add the Epson SureColor SC-T-Series and S-series range to its selection. The T-Series printers are ideal for CAD, GIS and POS applications, offering fast, reliable printing on coated and non-coated media.

Offering a choice of speeds and colours (from four to 10 colours including white and metallic), the Epson SureColor SC-S-Series produces high-quality and durable indoor and outdoor POS, signage and wallpaper graphics onto a wide range of materials, including vinyl, window film and recyclable stock. This range is also ideal for delivering a variety of other outputs from exhibition displays, posters, banners, textiles and backlit panels to vehicle wraps and labels.

Kemtek’s committed Epson team comprises of Aziza Mahomed, Epson Business Development Manager, and Farhana Essop, Epson Administrator, who are supported by dedicated and highly-experienced technical teams in the group’s major business branches in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. They can be contacted on (011) 624 8000 or azizam@kemtek.co.za and farhanae@kemtek.co.za respectively.
