Epson launches first monochrome integrated ink tank system printers

4th April2013 – Epson has launched South Africa’s first range of monochrome ink tank system printers that offer ultra-low cost mono printing.

The Epson WorkForce M200, M105 and M100 printers are specially designed for small and home office user and all offer ultra-low-cost printing with consistent Epson-quality results. This is thanks to their ultra-high-capacity, affordable ink tanks.

The Epson WorkForce M200 is an all-in-one model with Ethernet connectivity and an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that accepts up to 30 pages. The Epson WorkForce M105 is a single-function model with wireless connectivity, while the Epson WorkForce M100 is a single-function model also with Ethernet. All models deliver business-quality results with fast print speeds of up to 15ppm[1], helping to boost office productivity. All three models are compact and have a small footprint, making them easy to integrate into office and home environments of all sizes. Each model comes with a 12-month (or 50,000-page) warranty and full customer service support.

Epson’s genuine ink tanks are available in high-volume 140ml bottles, which can print approximately 6,000 pages[2], and offer a, ultralow running cost

All printers come with two black ink bottles – one starter bottle and one standard 140ml bottle – that offer a large combined page yield of 11,0002pages for ultra-low-cost document printing. Epson's fast-drying genuine pigment ink ensures business documents are water and smudge resistant.

The M200 and M105 are both compatible with the Epson iPrint app[3], which allows users to print wirelessly from smartphones and tablet PCs within the office: perfect for last-minute reports or if users don’t have access to a computer or laptop.

Kelvin Reynolds, general manager for Epson South Africa, says: “As the first manufacturer to develop monochrome integrated ink tank system printers, we’re providing businesses and work-at-home professionals with a fantastic opportunity to cut their printing costs dramatically, while removing the hassle and inconvenience of frequent ink cartridge replacement. In addition, Micro Piezo technology and Epson’s genuine ink ensure that documents are of the high quality our customers expect.”

The Epson WorkForce M105 and M100 both have a recommended retail price of R2,860.00 (ex VAT) while the Epson WorkForce M200 is R 3,560.00.00 (ex VAT).The 140ml ink bottle is available at a cost of R195.00 (ex VAT).
