Ultra-short-throw projectors make education interactive
The series delivers a perfect picture in all light conditions, and has smart features to make presentations more effective. Easy to install and use, the projectors enable users to focus on presenting rather than setting up.
Users can achieve a clear picture – even in daylight – and keep the lights on so their audience can take notes. This is thanks to Epson’s 3LCD technology and the projectors’ high White and Colour Light Output, which ranges from 1,500 to 3,500 lumens, depending on the model.
The series is designed to help presenters make an impact. To deliver powerful audio, every model has an integrated 16W speaker, and five feature a microphone input. Pictures can be shared quickly and easily by projecting directly from a USB drive, camera or portable hard drive, and 3D objects displayed by connecting to Epson’s ELP-DC06 document camera.
Whatever the room layout, installation is straightforward. Even if the projector is at an angle to the screen, the picture can be quickly aligned using automatic vertical and manual horizontal keystone correction, with a x1.2 or x1.6 optical zoom depending on the model for extra flexibility.
IT staff can control and monitor a projector fleet without any hassle using Epson’s EasyMP advanced networking features. To remove the need for physical checks, convenient automatic email alerts for temperature and lamp status can be set up. Images and sound can be broadcast over a network via the LAN input, and settings adjusted from a single point on a network.
Offering flexible connectivity, all the projectors have an HDMI input, and some models feature optional wireless connectivity. A single USB cable is all that’s needed to connect a laptop to the projector thanks to 3-in-1 USB display.
To help ease demand on budgets, the range has a low total cost of ownership resulting from its long lamp life of 6,000 hours (in eco mode) and the improved dust filter, which cuts down on maintenance time too.
The series will be on show at BETT UK, 12 January 2011, at Olympia, National Hall, stand L40. The EB-93E (RRP £649 ex. VAT), EB-93 (RRP £599 ex. VAT), EB-95 (RRP £749 ex. VAT) and EB-96W (RRP £789 ex. VAT) will be available to purchase from 1 February 2011, and the EB-905 (RRP £789 ex. VAT), EB-915W (RRP £879 ex. VAT) and EB-925 (RRP £879 ex. VAT) will be available to purchase from 1 March 2011.
