Market’s first 6-colour photo all-in-one that prints A3 – Epson XP-950

Specifically designed for people who want to print bigger, better photos at home, Epson announces the Expression Photo XP-950. This is the market’s first[1] 6-colour photo all-in-one that also offers A3 printing, yet is the size more typical of an A4 all-in-one.

Thanks to the rear speciality media feed, users can print onto a variety of media up to A3 size, while the two front-loading paper trays allow users to switch between photo and A4-sized media, without having to reload the paper during printing.

This top-of-the-range model has a motorised control panel and output tray that automatically opens before printing, as well as an 8.8cm touch-sensitive screen with a user-friendly interactive menu that allows for straight forward PC-free photo printing from memory cards and PictBridge. Users can also print onto CDs and DVDs to personalise family films and digital photo albums.

This printer uses Epson’s Claria Photo HD ink, ideal for photo enthusiasts who are looking to produce superior quality photographsthat can last up to 300 years when using Epson media and stored in a photo album[2]. This six-colour ink set (black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta) delivers smooth tonal gradations, deep blacks and rich, vibrant colours.

The Expression Photo XP-950 printer includes Epson Connect[3], which allows you to quickly and easily print documents and photos over Wi-Fi from smartphones and tablets. In addition the XP-950 is equipped with Wi-Fi Direct, which allows you to print from wireless devices without having to connect to a wireless router. You can also print from anywhere in the world by emailing documents and photos directly to the printer, while Scan-to-Cloud enables you to store scanned documents directly in cloud services. It is also compatible with Google Cloud Print.

Katie Zimmermann, product manager, Epson Europe, says: “Customers  want an all-in-one that can fit into a compact space, and includes all of the top-of-the-range features that we offer. The Expression Photo XP-950 includes our new Epson Creative Print app, which allows you to be more expressive by creating greeting cards,  personalise stationary, print photos from Facebook and more2. ”

The Expression Photo XP-950 is available in UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands from September 2013, priced at RRP £349.99.
