Epson launches two new sustainable printing solutions to boost employee productivity and efficiency while working from home

  • WorkForce Pro WF-4745 – Epson’s most affordable business multi-function printer - delivers fast, business quality printing with convenient high-capacity ink cartridges and paper trays

  • EcoTank ET-5880 – enables months of ultra-low-cost printing without needing to replace ink

October– With many people still working from home, Epson has launched two new multi-function printers designed for small and home office environments, the WorkForce Pro WF-4745 and the EcoTank ET-5880. Both models leverage Epson’s energy-efficient Heat-free inkjet technology and provide users with a choice between the traditional cartridge printer and the high capacity ink tank system that Epson pioneered.

“Having surveyed over 4,000 employees within Europe and the Middle East, we know that for 70%, factors such as durability, energy-efficiency and reduced consumables waste are considered ‘essential’ in products sourced for work at home 1,” comments Kevin Dobson, Epson UK. “Both the WorkForce Pro WF-4745 and the EcoTank ET-5880  address all of these demands.”

In fact, data suggests that if all home and small office laser printers used within Europe were switched to Epson inkjet, we could reduce energy consumption by up to 311 million kWh 1or save in excess of €38.1 million annually 2. And reduce CO2 production by 117 thousand tonnes each year.

WorkForce Pro WF-4745

The WorkForce Pro WF-4745 becomes Epson’s most affordable colour MFP within its business portfolio, delivering business quality prints at print speed up to 24 pages per minute and draws from convenient, high capacity ink cartridges.  And with the ability to hold over 500 sheets of paper, it aids efficiency and reduces the frequency needed for paper replenishment. The WF-4745 also includes a touch screen LCD interface for easy user navigation and a 50-page Automatic Document Feeder to enable quick and easy scan or fax of one or two-sided documents. The product delivers outstanding value to home and small office users requiring business level functionality.

EcoTank ET-5880

The EcoTank ET-5880 offers an ultra-low-cost printing solution with the initial ink included in the box allowing users to print for several months before requiring replacement ink. The ink-tank system also eliminates the need for cartridges and therefore their management and disposal. The printer offers a range of features including Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing users to print from almost anywhere, a 4.3” touchscreen LCD panel for easy navigation, multiple paper trays, print speeds of up to 25 pages per minute and a first page out time of just 5.5 seconds.

“Both of these models have been designed for small business and home offices, making them the perfect printers for employees who are now working from home,” concludes Dobson.
