Epson demonstrates sustainable and automated solutions at this year’s Packaging Innovations & Empack

13 May 2022 – Global printer manufacturer Epson will be attending Packaging Innovations & Empack on 25-26 May at the Birmingham NEC to showcase a comprehensive range of labelling solutions pioneered through its ColorWorks inkjet colour label printers.

Epson’s ColorWorks range, including its brand new ColorWorks C4000e, will demonstrate how businesses currently outsourcing labels can take control of their label printing in-house while saving unnecessary waste, energy and costs.

Visitors to the Epson stand will also enjoy a glimpse into modern labelling as Epson partner and labelling specialist Magnum Materials showcases its automated labelling solution featuring the Epson ColorWorks C6000Pe SCARA and the LS3-B401S (Selective Compliance Assembly Robotic Arm). This solution illustrates not only the impacts of speed, volume and simplicity of automated labelling on the production line, but also how businesses can adapt automated, personalised labelling into their business.

To reinforce the environmental benefits of replacing label outsourcing with on-demand, colour inkjet label printing, Epson will be giving stand visitors a chance to win an Epson C3500 desktop label printer. This will be awarded to the business with the most compelling summary of how on-demand labelling can help their business. To enter the competition, simply visit the Epson stand and scan the QR located on a competition-dedicated podium.

Gavin Thurston, Business Development Manager for ColorWorks at Epson UK, said: “We’re excited to be attending this year’s Packaging Innovations & Empack in the flesh and to be meeting with such a variety of businesses. On-demand inkjet labelling could reduce CO2 emissions by 6.7 million tonnes annually across European businesses, compared with label outsourcing[1]. Our goal at this year’s event is to empower businesses with these environmental savings while helping them to reduce downtime and costs as well.

“We’re also thrilled to welcome Magnum Materials to our stand this year. Their innovative approach to automated labelling using Epson’s ColorWorks and robotics technologies is fast-attracting the attention of businesses that are looking to get ahead of the curve with their production lines.”

Epson’s stand will exhibit a range of label printers designed to meet small-scale through to industrial labelling requirements across every sector. This includes the C7500 industrial label printer, which has print speeds of up to 300mm/sec and offers the ultimate solution in short-run colour label printing. Epson will also showcase its new C4000e, designed for small to mid-range volumes, and is Epson’s most intuitive label printer yet with a high printing quality and can print in either gloss or matte black inks.
