Two new innovative and intelligent business scanners
Epson announces two new intelligent, compact, sheet-fed WorkForce scanners. With powerful media handling and innovative smart features to ensure a high level of data integrity, the WorkForce DS-570W and DS-530 are geared towards highly-efficient and simple integration into an organisation’s workflow. With the ability to scan at up to 35ppm/70ipm, these devices offer a wide range of media handling options that enable you to rapidly capture, index store and share your business-critical documents.
Kevin Dobson, product manager, Epson UK, says: “With an industry-first slow mode1 for scanning crumpled or fragile documents, and their innovative Double Feed Detection Skip, the ability to scan challenging media has never been easier. Intelligent features improve efficiency, accuracy and data reliability, and whether you’re scanning documents as long as six metres, paper as thin as 27gsm, or card as thick as 413gsm, you can rely on these models for rapid document processing at the highest quality.”
Advanced sensors and paper feed technology
Custom-designed to handle important documents, from business cards and plastic IDs to extra-long documents, these scanners incorporate DSC (Dynamic Skew Correction) and a sophisticated multi-roller paper feed design. The Ultrasonic sensor allows Double Feed Detection to help avoid misfeeds, and Auto Document Size Detection makes it easy to scan multiple sizes in a single stack.
Automatic Feeding Mode makes it easy to scan originals of different sizes, in any order, into one PDF, while Double Feed Detection Skip enables scanning to resume after a feeding error occurs.
Optional flatbed scanner conversion kit
An optional flatbed conversion kit enables a wide range of media to be scanned effectively, such as postage stamps, passports, books and more. This option is available for both models when using USB 3.0 connectivity.
Wireless connectivity on the DS-570W
Scan documents easily to mobile, tablet and Wi-Fi-enabled work stations with this advanced and compact wireless sheet-fed scanner. An ideal sharing solution for multiple users in dynamic working environments, it’s even easier to scan directly to online storage accounts including Dropbox, SharePoint, FileBound and more.
The WorkForce DS-570W and DS-530 are available from October 2016, priced at £539 and £499 respectively.
