Epson’s new WorkForce Pro range – the perfect solution for a more productive workplace
Building on the success of its original WorkForce Pro printer range, Epson is launching a new range of business inkjet devices - the WF-C5000 series. The series provides solutions for small workgroups that require hassle-free, low-maintenance and productivity-boosting printing. The versatile devices have been designed to suit a range of outlets - from schools to small business and healthcare provicers.
The new range will help companies keep costs down considerably when compared to laser models, allowing a saving of at least 50% on cost per colour pages and a lower total cost of ownership1.
Demonstrating Epson’s ongoing commitment to cut the environmental impact of printing, the new WorkForce Pros are also low-power units that use fewer supplies and 90% less energy than comparable laser models2 – reducing environmental impact without compromising on output.
In addition, the range increases productivity – with its capability for fast printing and its high ink yield, along with the largest paper capacity in this segment3. Users can print up to 10,000 pages in monochrome or 5,000 in colour without needing to change supplies4. The printers offer a fast First Page Out Time (FPOT) of less than seven seconds from sleep mode – meaning a printout is usually delivered by the time a user has got up from their workstation to collect it.
Peter Silcock, business manager for Business Imaging at Epson UK, says: “This small workgroup series of printers and multifunction devices (MFDs) is perfect for small businesses and outlets, who may have traditionally used lasers and want to cut costs, increase productivity and reduce downtime. This is all while reducing their environmental impact and improving their CSR reputation.”
This innovative new product line builds on technology from the original WorkForce series, which has won several accolades – including the Golden Bridge ‘Innovations in Technology’ Award and recognition in the 2017 Good Design Awards. The range includes some of the company’s best technological inkjet printer advancements, offering improved performance and an innovative new ink supply system. With a bigger paper tray, the series reduces environmental impact and increases user experience and productivity.
Built especially for business, the line also offers software and tools that meet the needs of different companies and users without wasting time – the printers fit within an organisation’s existing IT infrastructure, whilst adding useful tools for efficiency and security. Software such as Email Print for Enterprise, Epson Print Admin5, Document Capture Pro and Epson Device Admin add functionality to the device – offering so much more than just print and scan. Epson Open Platform4 and its work with independent software vendors (ISVs) add extra solutions, such as PaperCut print management software. The new WorkForce Pro series is also available through Epson’s Print365 managed print service packages, which are fully inclusive of fast-response service and support.
The WF-C5790 DWF are available from February, with packages starting at £35 a month.
