Epson leverages Gold Sponsorship of Canalys Channels Forum 2018 to further demonstrate commitment to partners
Partnership commitment and ongoing technology investment now further underpinned by support of key channel event
Off the back of a series of its own channel events being hosted throughout Europe, Epson is further demonstrating its commitment to the channel through Gold Sponsorship of this year’s Canalys Channels Forum. The event will see Epson take part in a series of roundtables, panel discussions and speaker slots, as well as showcase its business products and solutions.
The sponsorship comes as Epson seeks to increases the role of business inkjet technology, and its own products, within the €42 billion business print market. As part of this ambition, the company has invested over half a billion euros into the development and production of business inkjet technologies and products. It has also trebled the size of its sales support team to better assist its channel partners in delivering to end customers within EMEA.
Adrian Clark, Vice President, Epson Europe said, “We’re committed to an indirect sales model, placing our channel partners at the heart of our business. As part of this, we look to support their success and growth alongside our own and have invested to better assist them in the sales process.
“We’ve long believed that business inkjet is the future for business print and the market is now reflecting that belief too, with business inkjet now accounting for 30% of business print[1]. Business inkjet is surpassing other technologies, in terms of performance and efficiency, delivering real financial, environmental and societal benefits”.
With cost saving opportunities of up to 50%, along with reduced maintenance requirements, reduce waste production and reduced power consumption, when compared to laser printers, Epson’s business inkjet products offer a superior alternative to outdated laser technology. And having secured a 38%[2] share of the Western Europe business inkjet market during 2017, Epson now has ambitions sales target for its self and its channel partners.
