POWERMASK art exhibition includes Richard Quinn design printed on a SureColor SC-F9200 printer

18 September 2017 – One of upcoming fashion designer Richard Quinn’s eye-catching designs, created using material printed on a SureColor SC-F9200 dye-sublimation printer, is appearing as part of the POWERMASK art exhibition running at Rotterdam’s Wereldmuseum until Sunday 7 January 2018.

The POWERMASK exhibition has been curated by well-known Belgian fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck, famed since the eighties for his fashion collections featuring strong graphic influences and a bold use of colour. He’s been fascinated by masks for many years, and decided to create an exhibition delving into the role masks have played throughout history in societies around the world.

One of the more contemporary pieces chosen for the exhibition is a matching morph suit and long coat in a distinctive rose-patterned fabric, designed by Richard Quinn for his launch collection. The material for this outfit was printed in Quinn’s London studio using a SureColor SC-F9200 dye-sublimation printer.

Richard Barrow, senior product manager, Epson Europe, says, “We’re really happy to see Richard Quinn’s work picked up for a major exhibition by such a well-respected fashion designer. As well as being a showcase for Quinn’s bold, striking designs, it’s an excellent opportunity for people to see just how colourful and crisp textiles created using a SureColor dye-sub printer can be.”
