Faster processing of documents into workflow systems
With high scanning speeds and advanced feed technology, Epson launches a new range of A4 scanners to boost paper capture productivity for electronic document archiving and distribution. The WorkForce DS-510 and DS-510N are designed to improve efficiency and integrate seamlessly into document management and cloud systems.
These new compact models have scanning speeds of up to 26ppm/52ipm in both monochrome and colour and an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) with a capacity of 50 A4 pages. Both models benefit from one-pass duplex scanning, HW JPEG compression and double-feed detection with ultrasonic sensor.
These versatile scanners have advanced feed technology, which offers smooth paper loading and reduces the risk of multi-feeds for reliable paper capture when processing large batches.
As well as high speeds, when combined with Epson Document Capture Pro, the optional Network Interface Unit offers ‘push scan’ features and customisation of ‘scan to’ commands, such as ‘scan to email’, ‘scan to Microsoft SharePointTM’ and ‘scan to cloud’. The WorkForce DS-510N is network ready.
The document scanners are designed to improve efficiency and integrate seamlessly into document management and cloud systems. The EpsonScan software offers a wide range of functionality including barcode recognition, zonal OCR support, TWAIN, ISIS and WIA drivers.
Epson Document Capture Pro client and server as well as Document Capture for Mac enable users to speed up workflow and capture, convert and distribute scanned information in virtually any document repository or document management system.
Peter Butler, product manager for document management systems and solutions, Epson UK, says: “These scanners are packed with Epson technology that enables complex tasks to be carried out easily, without the need for any special training. This helps organisations speed-up workflow and improve efficiency. The introduction of the DS-510N with network box supplied, brings Epson’s total of network scanners to seven. We believe that although networked scanners are in the early stages of adoption, they will soon become commonplace in the office. You expect the printer to be on a network and shared, scanners are no different.”
Epson ReadyScan LED technology needs no warm-up time, does not contain mercury and has low power consumption. This combination of features offers businesses a complete package for speedy electronic document management.
The WorkForce DS-510 and DS-510N are available from September, priced at RRP £436.80 and £631.20 respectively.
