Epson showcases projection innovations at ISE 2013

29 January2012 – Epson, the world leader in the projector market for over 10 years¹, showcases five families of 3LCD projection systems at ISE 2013, including three new projector ranges to expand Epson’s presence in mid to high-end projection. EB-G6000 Series Making its world debut at ISE 2013, the EB-G6000 range of versatile installation projectors is designed to deliver superior quality presentations in business, education and conference venues and meet the demands of the rental and digital signage sectors. A wide range of ‘standard’ and ‘pro’ models provide XGA, WXGA and WUXGA resolution at 4,500-7,000 lumens in a chassis weighing less than 10kg. All are packed with innovative features, including the ability to project onto corners and curves and onto the ceiling, floor or wall. The inclusion of 360-degree rotation, horizontal and vertical lens shift, pixel alignment, colour uniformity and HDBaseT (‘pro’ models only) gives system integrators installation flexibility and advanced image control. All models in the range are compatible with Epson’s EB-G5000 interchangeable lenses and are sufficiently light for installation by a single technician. EB-1400Wi Series Also on show at ISE 2013 is the EB-1400Wi Series, a self-contained interactive digital meeting room solution which brings convenience and simplicity to corporate presentations. Ideal for businesses looking to upgrade or streamline their meeting room equipment, the EB-1400Wi models combine the functions of multiple presentation and collaboration devices, including interactive whiteboards, flip charts and data conferencing equipment, into a single ultra-short-throw projector. Meeting participants in up to four locations can annotate projected visuals of up to 100 inches (diagonal) from any source in real time, while meeting notes can be shared via USB, network, email or printed on most office printers including the Epson Workforce Pro Series. The use of tablets and smartphones is supported via the free Epson iProjection app. EB-W16SK ISE 2013 also marks the launch of the EB-W16SK, Epson’s first passive 3D projector system. The EB-W16SK teams up two 3,000-lumen projectors in a special mount to provide affordable, easy-to-use 3D for, museums, leisure, hospitality, education establishments and other venues wanting to deliver bright 3D content to large audiences. The low cost of the polarised 3D glasses required by passive 3D makes the technology ideal for big audiences and ensures the EB-W16SK delivers a low cost of ownership. An automatic alignment feature ensures the EB-W16SK is easy to set up. EB-1900 Series and EB-435W Series Also on show at ISE 2013 are the EB-1900 Series of bright, mid-range installation projectors for corporate meeting rooms and education use, and the EB-435W short-throw range, the perfect partners to interactive whiteboards.    Hans Dummer, Head of Visual Imaging for Epson Europe, says: “As Europe’s leading exhibition for the AV industry, ISE provides Epson with the ideal venue for the launch of the EB-G6000, our strongest installation projector series to date, and our first passive 3D projection system, both of which bring new levels of functionality and reliability to the AV market.” The EB-G6000 Series is available from March 2013, the EB-1400Wi Series is available from January 2013, and the EB-W16SK is available from December 2012. The EB-1900 Series and EB-435 Series are available now.
