Epson challenges schools to “Exceed Their Vision” at BETT 2015

Ahead of BETT 2015, Epson is challenging UK schools to ‘Exceed Their Vision’ in a competition celebrating creative, original projects.

The competition simply requires entrants to submit a PowerPoint presentation with accompanying images or printable files that explains how a project or piece of work has exceeded their vision in some way.

The five shortlisted entries will win £500 and be invited to present their work before a panel of judges on Epson’s stand at the exhibition.

The winning school will also receive a suite of Epson products worth £7,500, including:

• An Epson EB-595Wi – Epson’s first finger touch interactive, ultra-short-throw projector with dual pen support and widescreen resolution for interactive collaboration in classrooms

• A SureColor SC-T5200 – This high-speed, four-colour large-format printer is designed to produce a wide range of high-quality graphics, CAD and GIS applications, be they for design & technology projects, engineering efforts or architectural assignments

• A WorkForce Pro WF5690DWF ink jet printer – This A4 multifunction printer can cut up to 50% of printing costs and up to 80% of your energy use¹ while reducing maintenance requirements

• The DS 510N A4 Document Scanner – Digitise students’ work with this high-speed sheet-fed scanner. Capture, convert and distribute paperwork, photos, documents and images in a single go.

• An ELP DC-06 Desktop Visualiser – A projector accessory for adding source materials during lessons and sharing close up live demonstrations with the whole class

Also at BETT, Epson’s UK Ambassador for its Runsense range of GPS sports monitors, Professor Greg Whyte OBE, will take to the BETT arena to deliver a keynote speech on how the role of physical activity, exercise and sport can help in creating a successful culture.  In this session, Greg will drill into key lessons you can take away to improve students’ and teachers’ productivity through activity, optimising your time management, and understanding practical reasons why people are more motivated and efficient when physically active.

Greg is an Olympian, physical activity expert, world-renowned sports scientist and the man behind iconic Comic Relief Challenges.
