Epson donates nearly £16k to charity partner Essex & Herts Air Ambulance

Epson UK have raised £15,770 for their official charity partner Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) through staff donations and other charity activities over the course of FY18.

Receiving the cheque from Epson's CSR manager Daniel Quelch was EHAAT Fundraising Manager Natasha Robertson, who said: “Each mission costs an average of £2,200 so this fantastic sum could potentially save seven lives. Epson and its staff have been amazing supporters of the Charity, and I am delighted to accept this cheque on behalf of everyone at EHAAT.

Since 2013 Epson has donated a staggering £66,000 which has made a huge difference to families in the area. As a Charity which receives no direct funding from Government or the National Lottery, we depend on the generosity of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to keep our life-saving service operational.

“We would love to hear from companies of any size who might be interested in supporting us. There are a range of ways to get involved, from volunteering and payroll giving to event sponsorship and selecting EHAAT as their Charity of the Year.”

Daniel Quelch, CSR Manager at Epson UK, said: “EHAAT has been Epson UK’s official charity partner for many years now and we are proud to contribute to an organisation of such remarkable individuals whose actions save lives on a daily basis.

'Good health and well-being’ is one of the UN’s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) that Epson UK is actively keen to support across different countries, one which EHAAT is a fantastic ambassador for. EHAAT is both a service and a reassurance that we are privileged to have, and I hope that the donations from Epson UK influence other individuals and organisations to give their support so that EHAAT can continue the fantastic work they do.”

Companies interested in supporting EHAAT can find out more by visiting ehaat.org or by calling 0345 504 0055.
