Epson challenges business flat panels with 100″ laser all-in-one interactive meeting solution

Epson is challenging meeting rooms to stop struggling with small flat panel displays and embrace 100-inch interactive video conferencing with the all-in-one EB-1470Ui. Not only does it deliver hassle-free meetings, with easy connectivity and set-up, but it also promises to be maintenance-free for 20,000 hours meaning you can ‘fit and forget’.

Prioritising productivity, collaboration and device integration, the EB-1470Ui with wireless connectivity allows whiteboard and other content sharing, and remote annotation from smartphones, tablets and laptops. Auto Power On means the device starts up as soon as you connect a cable, meaning no time is wasted, and its large high-resolution display size of up to 100 inches ensures that everyone can see what’s presented, encouraging participation. The interactive laser display works on nearly any flat surface turning it into an interactive finger and touch-enabled digital whiteboard – turn it on and start writing – making it the ideal collaboration solution for the modern meeting room.

Hans Dummer, director, Visual Instruments, EMEAR, says, “Flat panels just don't cut it in meeting rooms – their display size just doesn’t represent good value – so Epson has developed the EB-1470Ui meeting space solution for truly collaborative video conferencing at up to 100-inch image sizes. Whereas two flat panels are often needed for remote whiteboard sharing during a video conference, the Epson split-screen feature provides two display screens in one, making it easy to share any kind of content, easily and securely, such as remote whiteboard sharing and video conferencing. Callers can annotate content thanks to the finger-touch and dual-pen compatibility, while content and even screen sharing from smartphones, tablets and laptops is easy.”

The EB-1470Ui displays all relevant software for video conferencing from laptops, desktops and personal devices, from EasyMP Multi-PC Projection and screen mirroring from Android devices to Epson's iProjection app for use with iOS, Android and Chromebook tablets or mobile devices.

Fitted with two HDMI ports and wireless connectivity, the EB-1470Ui's display size is scalable from 70-inches up to 100-inches, with its WUXGA resolution ensuring a sharp 'beyond Full HD' experience. It can be used in any ambient light conditions thanks to its automatic light adjustment, ultra-bright 4,000 lumens Colour Light Output (CLO), with 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio ensuring robust images.

The EB-1470Ui is available from November 2017.
