Epson’s brightest and best installation projectors
19 June 2014 – Epson has announced a 4-strong line-up of projectors that cement its growing reputation as a serious player in the installation market. Particularly suitable for large rooms and presentation theatres for 60+ people, the EB-Z11000 Series includes Epson's first 10,000 lumens WUXGA resolution projector.
Though designed for large venues looking for a fixed installation projector, the EB-Z11000 Series will also appeal to both the rental market and to customers looking for a digital signage solution. Each member of the EB-Z11000 Series can be used in portrait orientation that's ideal for a variety of signage applications.
Graeme Davidson, business manager for visual imaging at Epson UK, says: “With the EB-Z11000 Series, Epson has reinforced its position in the installation market. Designed for use in a variety of scenarios, from corporate boardrooms and university auditoriums to museums and conference centres, these great value 3LCD projectors are ideal for anywhere that demands lots of detailed, bright images in a range of lighting conditions.”
Blending advanced technology with flexible features, all the projectors within the EB-Z11000 Series use Epson's own advanced 3LCD technology to achieve both unbeatable brightness and value, ensuring that vivid colours and bright images are displayed in any lighting scenario, including daylight. Crucially, the use of 3LCD panels ensures high-quality images with equally high White and Colour Light Output.
Flexibility for both installer and venue is assured by the use of a new and exclusive short-throw lens. Allowing the projectors to be placed much closer to the screen and still achieve a large image, the optional LU02 lens makes the EB-Z11000 Series ideal for scenarios where space is restricted. A unique 0.64-0.77:1 throw ratio will make the EB-Z11000 Series a real problem-solver for installers. All models are compatible with existing optional Epson lenses.
The versatility doesn't stop there: all models include 360-degree installation and wide powered lens shift range for positioning flexibility. Connectivity includes optional Wi-Fi, as well as HDBaseT for up to five sources to be attached via a single cable. Calibration options comprise multiple test patterns, Epson’s own Super Resolution feature for extra detail, and edge blending for scenarios where multiple projectors will be stacked.
There are two WUXGA resolution projectors in the EB-Z11000 Series, both of which feature 3G-SDI inputs for high bandwidth HD signals, ideal for live TV productions, as well as frame interpolation technology for the display of smoother moving images. At 10,000 lumens the black EB-Z10005U is Epson's brightest WUXGA resolution projector yet, while the black EB-Z9875U achieves 8,700 lumens and a WUXGA resolution.
In addition the EB-Z10000 Series includes two white WXGA resolution projectors, the EB-Z11000W (11,000 lumens) and EB-Z9900W (9,200 lumens)
The EB-Z11000 Series is available from summer 2014.
