Epson launches EcoTank, including two years’ worth of ink¹, without the need for ink cartridges
EcoTank printers come with enough ink in the box to print up to a massive 4,000 pages in black and 6,500 pages in colour3, that’s around two years’ worth of ink1, without needing to change a single ink cartridge. With the L355 and L555, Epson is offering a new way of printing that delivers ultra-low-cost and hassle-free results for home and small office users.
Simon Hanly, product manager, Epson UK, says: “The L555 and L355 are based on technology that has been highly successful in other markets where we have sold over 10 million units in less than four years. Epson is now responding to customer needs by launching the EcoTank range for western Europe. Complimenting our line-up of existing products, these models are ideal for home and small office customers who want to print everyday documents, such as recipes, homework, emails and maps, and for whom price and convenience are key factors. With two years’ worth of ink included1, users know where they stand.”
EcoTank printers feature ultra-high-capacity ink tanks that can be refilled using Epson genuine ink easily and efficiently. The printers are set up in three simple steps: fill the ink tanks, turn the printer on and prime the ink system. When it’s time to refill, affordable, hassle-free ink bottles make the process easy, without the need for cartridges. Drip-free bottle spouts ensure refilling the ink tanks is clean and hassle-free.
Both the L555 and L355 have print, copy and scanning functionality, with the L555 additionally benefitting from fax, a 30-page Automatic Document Feeder and a two-line LCD screen for even easier use. They have Wi-Fi connectivity for easier sharing and positioning around the home, and Epson iPrint4 compatibility means users can print quickly and easily from smartphone and tablet PCs. This refillable, robust ink tank system also comes with an Epson warranty of one year or 30,000 pages for added peace of mind.
The L555 and L355 are available immediately exclusively at Dixons Carphone (Currys and PC World stores), priced at £329 and £249 respectively. Replacement ink bottles are priced at £7.99.
