New range includes 10K lumens and is packed with features for large venues
31 January 2012– At the ISE show in Amsterdam, Epson reveals its first 10,000 lumens projector designed for large venues. It’s part of a new range of seven state-of-the-art products, offering the brightest and most technologically advanced features from the world’s leading projector manufacturer[1]. The series offers outstanding choice, offering lumens of 7,000 and upwards, resolutions from XGA to WUXGA and a superior set of features.
The range offers both black and white models. White units are designed for installation in government or education establishments, auditoriums, museums, conference or exhibition halls. The black units suit the demanding rental market, for use in e-cinemas, concerts venues or by companies holding conferences who need to hire specialist equipment.
All projectors offer first class adaptability, as they are compatible with all existing optional Epson lenses. The WiFi and iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch connectivity thanks to Epson’s downloadable iOS app, combined with a wide lens shift range both vertically and horizontally, make for easy integration into any environment.
Frédéric Haton, projector senior business manager for Epson Europe, added: “Users can now do more with their projector, as the range is packed with features designed for the installation and rental markets. It offers built-in Edge Blending for the very first time, to stack up to four projectors horizontally and two vertically. Users can select which of the four edges to blend and the width of overlap, at up to 45 per cent of the screen height or width. They can also change the black level – both brightness and colour – the intensity of image, or other characteristics to make the blended region unnoticeable.”
Another key addition to the range is the SDI port, allowing venues to transmit HD broadcast signals such as TV for the first time. And Epson’s Super Resolution feature and the Frame Interpolation mode deliver a smooth, high-quality image, every time – even with fast-moving action scenes.
Alongside this, Point Correction with its three matrix settings combined with the Arc Correction feature correct uneven screens. The six built-in test patterns handle calibrating the image, its tone, colour and the shape of the screen with ease. And Epson’s EasyMP software delivers split screen functionality, multi-PC projection and streams videos via WiFi as well as many other added features.
Epson’s 3LCD technology delivers natural, accurate colour reproduction and an equally high White and Colour Light Output for sharp detail and bright, high-quality pictures.
The EB-Z8450WU and EB-Z8455WU are available from March 2012. The EB-Z10000, EB-Z10005 and EB-Z8150 are available from April 2012. The EB-Z8350W and EB-Z8355W are available from June 2012.
