Epson partners with Print Audit to enhance Managed Print Service solutions for its RIPS products

Working with Print Audit, a leading Independent Software Vendor (ISV), Epson has enhanced the compatibility of its WorkForce Pro RIPS (Replaceable Ink Pack System) products with a Managed Print Service (MPS) programme. This partnership will enable resellers and distributors to remotely manage secure data collection and analysis, as well as gain better visibility of print usage and management requirements on products developed to reduce the need for in-field support and ink replacement.

Peter Silcock, business manager for Business Imaging at Epson UK, said: “Epson’s WorkForce Pro RIPS are a series of business inkjet products that deliver high-quality, uninterrupted printing for up to 75,000 pages without the need for ink changes. Our partnership with Print Audit makes these products viable as part of an MPS programme that will be an attractive proposition for channel partners, due to their low intervention requirements and subsequent reduction in logistics and on-site support costs.”

Phil Madders, Print Audit Europe, said:  “This partnership will enable resellers and distributors to enhance their MPS solution offering by improving the convenience of managing customer print fleets.  The new software will greatly enhance the ability to provide intelligent data collection and analysis on a product that requires reduced consumables maintenance and in-field support. We are confident this partnership will benefit the re-seller community through improved back-office data availability, reduced costs and improved MPS service provision.”

Print Audit integrates easily into existing IT infrastructures and in partnership with Epson combines high-quality data and analytics with reliable printer hardware that requires reduced on-site intervention.
