Epson launches GoBoard Education software for teachers and students to connect, create and collaborate in real-time

With the recent acceleration of new learning methods driven by interactive displays used in agile learning spaces, and to facilitate an increase in remote and hybrid learning, Epson has launched an advanced collaboration software solution for teaching; GoBoard Education software.

This software offers a range of feature-rich interactive collaboration solutions allowing students and teachers to connect, create and share content through all interactive display systems, integrating with video conferencing platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom and many others.

Teachers can annotate on the interactive display and covert hand drawings into clip art images or shapes, or teachers can search and add content from the internet in real time.

With the integration powered by AirServer, GoBoard Education software supports wireless screen sharing protocols such as Miracast, AirPlay and Google Cast, making it easy for students to share their mobile displays during the lesson.

The Teacher Console bundled with the software helps teaching staff to create and manage engaging content wherever they are. With additional features, there is an ability to include polls that can be answered in real time by any student connected to the lesson via the student’s companion app.

The student companion app, free to download, gives students on the same network the ability to view the whiteboard in real time on their devices, save lessons and content locally for later viewing, and even interact directly with the whiteboard. Students working remotely can view the content on the display and interact with it in real time by connecting through the chosen VC solution.

“Traditionally, Epson has focused on hardware but with this shift towards interactive display use in classrooms, plus with many students now learning via hybrid models, we saw a need for a solution that would serve both students and teachers’ needs, both in the classroom and remotely,” says Kiran Sanghera, Manager of Product Management.

“We wanted to provide educators with a solution that brings greater interactivity to displays, whiteboards and flat panels. From wireless connectivity and compatibility with all interactive displays, including flat panels, to integrated video conferencing, GoBoard Education software really does cover all bases.”
