Epson launches a new range of compact and versatile high lumens laser projectors

Epson, the leading global projector brand, has launched a range of compact, versatile and lightweight high-lumens 3LCD laser projectors designed to meet the needs of the visitor attractions, corporate, higher education and signage markets.

The new EB-PU1000 series builds on the success of Epson’s EB-L1070U series and includes 6,000, 7,000, 8,500 and 10,000 lumen variants offering WUXGA resolution with 4K enhancement, HDR and advanced installation features.

The EB-PU1000 series supports Epson’s existing range of motorised lenses and provides additional options such as the new ELPEC01 external camera module. The external camera uses in-built processing to undertake PC-free stacking assistance which means it can stack two 10,000 lumens projectors to double brightness to 20,000 lumens, without need for external computerware.

Neil Colquhoun, Vice President Professional Displays at Epson Europe, commented: “We are excited to bring to market our latest range of highly versatile, light-weight, high-lumens 3LCD laser projectors. The new EB-PU1000 series replaces the EB-L1070U series and can be used across a wide variety of vertical markets including visitor attractions, corporates, higher education and signage.

“This highly agile projector range has been designed to produce large-scale, extremely bright displays, often as part of multi-projector projects where lens flexibility is key. Thanks to advanced installation features, multiple EB-PU1000 series projectors can be used alongside other higher brightness projectors in rental fleets to offer increased versatility and significant cost savings.”

Other features such as stacking assist, tiling assist and image calibration are supported with the Epson Projector Professional Tool software. The flagship models also feature SDI in and out to further minimise installation complexity with daisy-chain support.

At the top end of the range, the new EB-PU2010 features 10,000 lumens of white and Colour Light Output (CLO) in a compact and lightweight chassis. This projector is 27% smaller when compared to its predecessor, which means more discreet installations without sacrificing brightness. The more compact size makes the projector more transportable and saves storage space providing size and cost advantages to projector fleets.

The new EB-PU1000 range includes Near Field Communication (NFC) for simpler multi-projector set up, making diagnostics and multi-projector installs easier. NFC technology enables communication between the projector and smart devices even when the projector is off, using Epson’s Projector Config Tool. Initial settings can be pre-set at the warehouse before delivery to shorten the time required for adjustments when installing multiple projectors.

Epson supplies each projector as ‘body only’ which puts the power to build the right projection solution for the right application into the hands of the customer, offering our most flexible high-brightness display solutions to date. These are truly display solutions for virtually any environment.

Key features include:

  • Optional camera integration (ELPEC01).
  • Built-in media player with network content upload.
  • An optional ELPAF63 external air filter.
  • The new 8.5klm and 10klm models come in the same chassis size.
  • Industry standard frames.
  • Supports Epson’s software for content management and remote monitoring and control.

The new EB-PU1000 range will be available from July 2021.
