Epson highlights commitment to Saudi education sector at Ta’leem 2016

As Saudi government invests in education and training with an allocation of 192 billion Saudi riyals, Epson is committed to making teaching in Saudi classrooms more smart with its latest range of projectors. The company, which is sponsoring Ta'leem 2016, the 5th annual International Exhibition and Forum for Education in KSA, will also showcase its line-up of cost effective Epson ITS and RIPS Workforce printers at the show from 12th to 14th April 2016.

Khalil El Dalu, General Manger, Epson Middle East, says, “Technology has the power to transform the way students learn. Our Ultra-short-throw projector technology, for example, can help to create impactful and engaging presentations in any sized room. Compatible with a wide range of devices and widely-used interactive software, it makes it easy for teachers to share content to engage students, no matter where they sit in the classroom. The 3LCD technology, used in the projectors, helps to deliver amazing, true-to-life colour for powerful presentations. Technology opens a new door to interactive learning and it is important to train more teachers to adopt the latest technologies.”

As per a recent survey that Epson conducted across Europe revealed, poor training on how to use new technologies was identified by 31% of all respondents in education as the main barrier prohibiting technology from fully benefiting the industry.

“Another factor that is a major hurdle for educational institutions is the rising cost of printing. At Taleem, we will introduce visitors to our range of ITS and Workforce printers that will help to cut down printing costs to a minimum,” added Khalil.

Epson ITS printers, have large, refillable ink tanks instead of cartridges. They come with enough bottled ink to last for about two years and once the bottles are empty, users can buy replacements that should last for another two years. They can print up to 12,000 pages in black and 6,500 pages in colour.

Epson’s WorkForce Pro RIPS, helps educational institutes to cut costs and improve efficiencies when it comes to colour printing. WorkForce multi-function printers can deliver up to 75,000 printed pages in both black and colour before the ink needs to be replaced.
