Epson 25k Projectors produce visually stunning conference display

Unbound Global, a platform for the world’s leading brands and corporations to meet with founders and entrepreneurs from around the globe, were hosting their annual innovation festival in London. The event, which included an exhibition and multiple conference stages demanded the latest in AV technology. Light Fantastic Production Services Ltd, trade supplier to the live event, exhibition, and television industries were tasked with delivering the creative design & technical production. The focus of the festival was the main conference stage for 400 delegates.

Light Fantastic were looking for an impressive display solution to match the calibre of global leading brands that would be attending this event.  The venue presented a very wide but low space and so the set design incorporated a large 14mtr x 3mtr projection surface. After thorough research, it was decided that the new Epson Laser Projection range would suit this event perfectly. They needed a product that could deliver crystal clear visuals and be deployed quickly to fit an extremely tight build schedule. As such they decided to opt for two larger 25k projectors over four smaller 12k units.

The show content includes bright and colourful video content and graphics - With 25,000 lumens of brightness and a high contrast ratio of 2,500,000 : 1, the Epson 25K was the perfect tool to produce stunning image quality on the large canvas.

PSCo, trade only rental partner, worked with Light Fantastic to supply the latest in AV technology to suit the brief. They provided two EB-L25000U, 25,000 lumen projectors which were used to edge blend across the large canvas. The canvas was 14m x 3m and produced a near 4K resolution at 3386 pixels wide, for crisp high-definition images even when projecting at a distance.

The EB-L25000U is the brightest ever 3LCD projector¹, yet it is still lighter and more compact than similar products, for ease of use.  A sealed optical unit and inorganic phosphor wheel mean that the projector provides 20,000 hours of reliable, maintenance-free use². These are twinned with a pipe frame and baseplate structure to ensure a durable, knock-resistant casing.

Accompanying the two projectors, PSCo provided the full rental package including two interchangeable ELPLU05 short throw lenses, frames, and hanging adapters. The  versatile EB-L25000U projectors can be rotated through 360° and offers freely adjustable tilt, which allows it to be mounted at any angle and project images in portrait or any other orientation.

Prior to the event, Light Fantastic attended the Epson Pro AV Academy at PSCo to get background knowledge and hands on training with the full Epson projection range. The Pro AV Academy allowed the attendees to learn how to specify the right projector for a particular scenario to ensure the best possibly image is produced.
