Epson shows flexibility of desktop & portable colour label printers at Packaging Innovations

31 January 2017 –Epson will demonstrate the ColorWorks series of desktop colour label inkjet printers alongside its award-winning portable LabelWorks labelling devices at Packaging Innovations 2017 (1-2 March, NEC).

The ColorWorks C7500 industrial printer [pictured above] with Wasatch RIP software is a reliable, high-speed, high-quality solution with easy-to-use colour and workflow management capabilities. As a result, it is the perfect choice for users who need to print continuous labels as well as those who traditionally use die-cut media. Printing at speeds up to 300mm/sec and producing labels at 600x1200dpi resolution, the ColorWorks C7500 series products produce high-quality labels fast, for a range of applications including: food and beverage products; packaging and boxes; EU energy and GHS labels.

The versatile ColorWorks C3500 printer is the perfect solution for companies printing high-quality colour labels, tags and tickets. This inkjet device prints high-quality labels at up to 103mm/sec on a wide range of media, including matte and gloss-coated paper and synthetic media in a range of formats and sizes.

Visitors will also see several of the popular small and versatile Epson LabelWorks printers, including the new rugged, LabelWorks LW-Z700FK which makes its UK debut at the show. The LabelWorks range features durable handheld industrial label printers designed to boost productivity in demanding environments. Ideally suited to installers, maintenance contractors, builders and plumbers, the LabelWorks printer is ideal for rapidly, efficiently and affordably labelling electrics, cabling, including audio/video cables, data communications equipment, as well as pipes and machinery, in offices, factories, server rooms and construction sites. Its unique Pick & Print function enables the LabelWorks to print the next label in a pre-set series when it detects that the user has ‘picked’ the previous label. Hands-free operation is made possible by an automatic cutter that cuts full or half size labels and magnets that can be used to hold the printer onto metal surfaces. It is extremely versatile, with the ability to print up to seven different tape widths from 4 to 24mm and up to 9m long.

We entered the on-demand label sector at Packaging Innovations in 2014 and have introduced new innovations every year since then to meet multiple markets’ diverse needs and applications. We are looking forward to showing our very latest models at this year’s show,” says David Spratt, Sales Manager, Business Systems, Epson UK.
